Job Description

We are seeking an Agricultural Loan Officer to join a well-established financial institution serving Northwestern Illinois. This role involves working closely with the agricultural community to provide financial solutions tailored to farmers, agribusinesses, and rural enterprises.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with local farmers and agribusiness clients.
  • Evaluate and analyze loan applications, including financial statements and credit reports, to determine creditworthiness.
  • Provide customized financial solutions, such as operating loans, equipment financing, and real estate loans.
  • Monitor loan portfolios to ensure compliance with credit policies and mitigate risk.
  • Conduct on-site visits to assess clients' operations and understand their financial needs.
  • Stay informed about agricultural market trends and local economic conditions.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in agricultural lending or a related financial services role.
  • Strong understanding of agricultural operations and rural economics.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Proficient analytical skills for evaluating financial documents and assessing risk.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple client accounts effectively.
  • Familiarity with agricultural financing products and local market trends.
